3 Hacks for Making Your Bike Run Smoothly

A lot of people in India buy a bike at a reasonable price, whether it's a TVS Apache RTR 310 or a TVS Raider. But oftentimes, people forget that they not only have to keep it shining but also thriving on the road! Regardless of the type of bike you buy, it is imperative to maintain it properly and take some steps so that it is safe to ride regularly. You should take care of your bike so that it can take care of you! So, follow these simple steps to make sure it runs smoothly:

1.     Keep It Clean

Do not keep your bike dirty because over time dust may build up in the nooks and crannies of your bike. This build-up in the wrong places leads to rusting. Do get your bike pressure-washed often; wipe it yourself every few days to keep it looking brand-new.

2.     Check Tyre Pressure

It is recommended to keep bike tyres at the right pressure level to achieve the best fuel efficiency of your bike. Any bike, whether it has more or less power cannot function properly if it is running on low tyre pressure. The only time when it is advisable to keep the tyre pressure lower is when you need to ride it on the sand or if the road is slippery and the bike has skinny tyres. It helps give you more grip on the bike since now it has a wider contact patch.

3.     Pay Attention to Brake Pads

Many bikers go fast in their vehicle but are unable to stop in time to avoid a collision or an obstacle. It is vital to note that over time, the brake pads of your bike wear out and get dirty. You should clean them or replace them as and when required depending on their condition. Also, make sure that you top up the brake fluid by opening up the brake fluid canister.

By keeping these points in mind, your bike can run smoothly on the road for a long time! Make sure to get it regularly serviced from an authorised workshop as well.
